The Phanteks EX5 moves beyond conventional boxy designs to present a bold, modern showcase for custom PC builds. Built around a compartmentalized layout, the chassis organizes key hardware into dedicated thermal zones. This targeted approach feeds fresh intake air directly to core components, optimizing overall airflow efficiency without

Fantastic and unique
I absolutely love this case. I have been waiting for something special to move my build into for quite a while. As soon as I saw the previews for it I knew immediately it was the unique case I was looking for. I love fish tank cases, however after using multiple I realized I’d like something with even less peripheral invasion on my desk. The slim factor of the EX5 accomplishes this perfectly.
Building inside the case was actually pretty intuitive as long as you pay attention what to connect first.
Temperatures for my specific use case have been excellent. I actually received a little bit of a cooling boost compared to my NV5 thanks to its design. Although I can see in some scenarios where that isn’t the case. It all depends on which parts are paired with it, and where they actually sit in the case. I have a 2 slot 3 fan gpu, and it sits in slots 2 and 3 in the case. I find this perfect as it allows room for the 12 pin, and above and below for air to move. If you have a bigger card, or motherboard with a low first pcie slot this may not be as ideal. Under load the max my card hit was 72c, compared to 78c in the nv5.
My cpu idles at 40c, and hits 75c under load with a 9700x. Although, do consider the seperate aio chamber will mean it’s a little louder decibel wise, as there is nothing to block that noise. I completely accept it though, as it has meant for better temps overall, and could be fixed with a less aggressive fan curve.
For only having one fan for the entire layout besides the aio chamber, it feels like magic.
It definitely depends on how you build within it, but I for one am incredibly satisfied and excited to run my new build inside the EX5. It is now my favorite case on the market. Phanteks really outdid themselves here
