I'm only about 5 foot 6 inches but I find I often end up with my head off my old yoga mat. With my new mat I can put it against the wall at the start of my practise and I don't need to reposition it during my whole class. I have plenty of mat for whatever position I am doing. I'm very pleased with this mat
