Great all around mid weight rod.

As with all of the R8 models, this six is dynamite. It handles a wide range of flies and can cast a weighted streamer into heavy Lake Michigan winds as well as it can lay out a long cast to a finicky brown sipping bwo's. It also handles golden bones especially well. I fished this rod almost exclusively on the Kangia River in Greenland last year and it performed flawlessly skating large outrageously gawdy gurgler style flies to schools of equally colored up char.

This rod casts a line like a laser beam. Amazing!
