2wt strike rod

Rod is super lite and very sensitive. Used it for the first time today and landed 25 fish between 12 -18 inches. Was able to feel the slightest bite. This will definitely be my all time favorite rod while euro nymphing.

Nice upgrades over previous version. the matte blank is a nice touch, but importantly the action and recovery is much better than other entry-level rods I've used. Uplocking seat is nice. Only slight compliant is the fighting butt competes with the uplocking seat in an odd way; it ends up sort of defeating the addition of the fighting butt. But would much rather have the fighting butt than not on this rod. Overall its a minor complaint.

I have guided fly fishing every summer for the l 30 years. I just purchased the new Strike based on the claimed improvements over the original Strike. The claims are true and I feel that the new Strike is the best entry level euro nymphing rod on the market. Thanks, Jim
