Time-laspe video, they move more comfortably at regular speed video. Easy to install except it took a minute to figure the squeeze spring release of the shade from the valence, but there was video on YouTube on how to install that one user also had the same trouble figuring out how that works to do the install. Once that was done, it was quite simple to install. A little tricky to program with the very tiny button on the motor, but I suppose if you get the wifi enabled motors that becomes simpler. All in all a very good product for the money as it was much cheaper than the national brick and mortar 'discounted' price. Probably will buy the skylight shades next. The shades were impressive right from the unboxing. The SmartWings folks have the packing down to a science - everything well protected, and all the items were easy to find and complete. The shades for inside-mount came with sturdy metal L brackets and the ones for outside-mount had these as well as extensions in case you need to get past some moulding. Longer blinds had three brackets and the shorter ones came with two. The shades are ridiculously easy to mount into the brackets - just engage the front of the shade to the front of the bracket, push back on the springs, and tilt up. After the first one, it took me about 5 minutes per blind to mount them. We got the Zigbee motors for integration into SmartThings. The inclusion was straightforward, as would be expected with Zigbee, but the default driver reported the shades open when closed, and vice-versa. It also reported the battery level at 1/2 of actual. A quick search of the SmartThings forum turned up a community-built driver which, once installed, eliminated all issues with the driver and controls. We opted for the fabric-covered valences and bottom bars. My wife LOVES the look of these and is very happy. The motors are quiet enough that even when we open or close all shades at once (7 of them in two adjacent rooms) it is easy to hold a conversation. We had worried about the noise level but it turned out to be no issue at all. SmartWings sells a few different remote controller options but once we got the shades hooked up for voice control and automation we don't use the remote at all. I set up groups so we can open or close all shades in a room at once, or set them to a partially open position with a single command. Of course, we can still control them individually but I find we rarely do. SmartWings supplies a 10 foot long charging cable. A couple of our shades are near wall outlets so I replaced those with USB charging outlets, making recharging convenient. A couple of our shades are mounted quite high and I got the solar charger for those. It seems to be working well even through our Low-E double glazing. I was delighted with almost everything about the SmartWings shades. My only issue was the minor speed bump with the SmartThings driver but anyone with SmartThings is probably used to dealing with community edge drivers by now so I didn't ding them on the rating over this. Everything else though - packing, hardware, ease of mounting, operation, automation, and color/style options - was top-notch. If I had more windows I'd definitely buy from SmartWings again.
