Combo of fresh/vegetal with syrupy/alcoholic?

I have a tomato-scented candle I am obsessed with this summer. So I jumped into the world of tomato-note fragrances (this one and Rubini Odenaturae). Reader, so far, this has not been a successful foray. I expected a fresh, savory, vegetal scent with some spice from the tomato leaf. That’s here, but it’s completely overwhelmed by something syrupy and reminiscent of alcohol, probably from the amber. The “color” of the scent is deep brownish purple to me because of that, and I wanted a symphony of greens with a pop of orange-red tomato. It’s oddly not for warm weather given the tomato note. The syrup feels wintery and seasonally discordant with the greens. I don’t think this is an unpleasant scent for the right wearer. If you’re going for heavy amber woods with some vegetation behind them, right on. But it’s not what I wanted, and it’s not for me personally. I do think it leans traditionally masculine.
