We were spoiled by a 20-year history with a noble hardwood hammock stand that seemed immortal--and then finally collapsed. So the Key West stand we have now replaced it with has a lot to live up to. But--after an arduous couple of hours putting it together--this new Russian larchwood stand is up to the job. More, we just graced the new frame with a new Key West hammock (our old one sadly didn't fit), and the combination is perfect: a treat for the eyes, but so much more a treat for the body and the mind.
