You don't need a lot. it smells great and won't make your hair greasy. Just a heads-up if you're prone to back acne. If you wash your hair in the shower, always do that before cleaning yourself. Ideally, wash your hair by bending forward to keep shampoo and conditioner off your back, as the oil could cause breakouts.

I don’t know if it would make a difference if this would be used with a shampoo of the same brand. I can’t say if I would recommend this, not until after I try it with the shampoo of the same brand.

Works very well does not over condition does not leave my hair greasy or weighed down. I have fine hair that is salt and pepper and curly
