If you work, do not get these!

I was very hopeful for these to be a replacement for the waterproof on clouds I normally took to work at long shows. I was very excited about these, but despite giving them two weeks chance to break in they were leaving me more blistered and achey all the way up my legs and back every day. I’m not picky, I finally caved and got a $30 pair of sketchers and felt like a new person for the rest of the show. If you are on your feet for more than a couple of hours a day, these will not work for you. And bonus they did not keep my feet dry bathing horses.

Sizing is small

Quality of material seems okay but…..I ordered my normal boot / shoe size ( there are no retailers in my area to try on) of 9 1/2 that were surprisingly small, returned for 10 which are closer to correct but still snug around toes. I thought maybe a break in period was needed so I wore them around the barn for a few days and still pretty uncomfortable and now not returnable because I wore them around the barn, lesson learned, always try on shoes before buying.

These sneakers were thoughtfully designed for the horse-girl lifestyle. They have a comfortable foot bed (although I did add Dr Scholls cushion inserts for added support), fairly easy to slip on using the heel loop, and the cuff around the ankle prevents shavings and debris from getting in your socks. I ordered a 9.5 size that fit well. I'm in Kentucky, with red clay soil, so they will discolor fairly quickly, and clay / shavings / manure will stick in the bottom tread - not easy to just knock off. Maybe a strong hose stream would work better for cleaning off the sole. It's not recommended from the manufacturer that they go in the clothes washer, but I'm very happy with my purchase for comfort and practicality.
