Genesis Sedan (2015-2016) Remote Start Kit – Plug & Play

Amazing upgrade!

This is an amazing upgrade for the Genesis. Not just a remote starter but automatic lock and unlock is a huge bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Install in Canada was a pia because of a bracket holding in the plugs but I managed.

Flawless on 2015 Genesis Sedan

As stated in the title, the product works flawlessly once installed. It’s getting it installed that gave me a slight issue as for my vehicle as you have to reach your hand up under and behind the steering wheel to make 3 connections. Took me 45 minutes just to do that part. The rest was easy as pie though.

Happy to have remote start back!

This is what should have been part of the vehicle when it was new! Bought the car new and had the Genesis app based remote start until they weren't able to update the technology to 4G communications. Always was a little peeved that I had to pay a subscription for remote start - oh well. Happy that this works well. Installation was straightforward with the videos (although there is a portion of the video where all I see is the back of the guys head instead of what he's talking about/doing - should re-edit that video!). Worst part of it was I'm not used to being a contortionist under a vehicle dash any longer, so it took me about 3 hours start to finish to complete the installation. Would have liked a little more directions on where to place the unit other than "just put it up under there somewhere" - but found a suitable spot where I zip tied it to the metal frame that held the dash piece next to the fuse box that works and will not rattle. Routing the cables was a little tricky to keep them from rubbing up against the steering column or brake pedal mechanisms, but was able to find a good route and fasten them appropriately.
