Wrong gaskets

I called to let someone know I would be buying downpipes for my genesis coupe 3.8 and they told me to use type B gaskets. Except I needed gaskets that connected from my catalytic converter/headers to my Ark downpipes. Not from my downpipes to my test pipes. Now I have an exhaust leak and down another $50 from buying more gaskets.
