I recently received my TSPROF 5 Piece Diamond Plate set. Being my first time using diamond plates I wasn’t sure if they needed wetting or oiling but a quick call to one of the knowledgeable staff at Zanvak confirmed that they can be used dry (or wet if worried about the dust). The plates are amazing. The coarsest plate (150 grit), makes short work of re-profiling the bevel and removing any nicks from the blade. A few strokes of each of the other plates (220, 400, 600 & 1000 grit) and in no time, a razor sharp edge is achieved. An additional few strokes on the strop then finishes the job with the blade now scary-sharp! What a fantastic product. Thanks Zanvak.
