Learn to Sew an Easy Top

I highly recommend the "Learn to Sew an Easy Top" workshop. I have some experience of making curtains and cushion covers but I have never made any clothes. So I decided to make a test garment first before using any good fabric. I did make a mistake with the sizing (entirely my own fault) so the top turned out to be quite large. But it didn't really matter as it was only made from cheap material. The videos are very clear with plenty of information and tips. The written instructions are also very good. I have learnt so much. I am very proud of my achievement and really enjoyed the whole process. Despite the top being on the large size I did wear it one evening whilst watching the TV much to my husband's amusement. Now I need to find some nice fabric and make the top in the correct size. I can't wait!

What a great first project!

I have never sewn a garment before and, to be honest, until last year I haven’t used a sewing machine since I was about twelve (a lot of years ago now!) However, I followed the video and have made a wearable top. The video was amazing, so easy to follow and the instructions were clear and precise. The pattern was also easy to use This is a great beginners package! Buy it and make a top! It is great value for money. I have ordered more material to make it again with different sleeves to consolidate my learning. Big thanks to the Tilly and the Buttons team.
