Each rope handles differently
Ordered both a 60m orange and a 60m blue rope to use a pair. Unfortunately both ropes are feel and handle differently. The blue rope is significantly softer and looks visibly thicker until it is tensioned, whereas the orange rope is much stiffer; the size of a bight when pinched is quite different on each rope. They also seem to be rated differently from what's written on the rope (EN 892:2012+A1:2016 for the orange vs EN 892 for the blue). I have used these for about a month now for trad and winter climbing and was hoping the differences would even out with use but it appears not. While I'm happy with the performance of each rope when looked at individually the difference is rather off putting and noticeable when clipping on lead which honestly doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Not sure if I just got unlucky with one of the batches of rope but regrettably they're hard to recommend.

Gilmonte Gill 8.3mm Rope
I wanted a 30m treated trad rope for cragging on shorter routes. It arrived quickly and I am delighted with the quality. Highly recommend using Sgurr.

Gilmonte Gill 8.3
I recently purchased the blue and gold Gilmonte Gill 8.3 half ropes and I am already excited to used them when the rain finally stops. The quality of the ropes is top notch and the fact they are dry treated is amazing compared to other dry treated half ropes.
