Love the brand, however I'm in the USA and for me everything I have ordered the sizing is off. I wear XL in everything. I have had to send everything back for XXL. So for this Aigis I ordered XXL from the start. Way too big this time. Swimming in it even with base and their mid layer under. Sleeves also way too long for me. Swapped to an XL. Fit better but sleeves still about 3-4 inches too long and a bit tight in the back below shoulder blades. I still fit a base and mid layer under it snug but useable. I'm 5'6 215 lbs. Stocky built, broad chest and shoulders. If you are slim athletic type your normal size might be right for you with this brand. The quality is good I can't speak to the reliability because I haven't really used it. My normal brand is arcteryx and my shell is quality but it seems more rigid And I end up sweating to death in Gore-Tex and end up wet anyway. the Aigis jacket is a completely different material and seems more flexible and quieter.

Took this jacket up Snowdonia range , west coast of Scotland and finally the Middle East. . Jacket coped with all three differing climates very well. The waist pockets , which supplement the two cavernous chest pockets are something I haven’t had on a goretex for some time, and are beneficial more than I thought they would be . Material is lightweight and very breathable , but if you’re sweating like a crab in a marathon , the pit zips quickly dispel the heat if so required . Jacket is roomy and not the usual athletic fit of other ThruDark kit but allows you to sufficiently layer , and the hem cords cinches up enough to keep elements out making sure there are no cold spots. Once again this piece of ThruDark kit is testimony to the un relentless pursuit of excellence when it comes to the design and production of ThruDark garments . Highly recommend .
