My father loves it!
Growing up on Long Island, there were certain smaller stores we frequented before big box stores took over. My father, being very handy in the home, shopped at Pergament a lot. Being a daddy’s girl, I jumped at the chance to run any errands with him. I remember walking around the store asking what things were and how thy worked. It probably drive him crazy, but he never showed it. Years ago I got the Caldor shirt for myself and he got a real kick out of it. That shirt is one of my favorites; for reminiscence and because it’s soooo soft. When I ordered his shirt, I was hoping the material quality would be the same. It is! He opened it on Christmas morning and his eyebrows went up, he smiled, and said, “Hey, look at that. ” Known for his stoicism, this is about as excited as he gets. I wanted to get him the Rickel shirt but they were sold out. I was a little bummed. Then her opened my sister’s gift for him and it was…the Rickel shirt! We laughed about her probably being the person to buy the last one and at the fact that we knew dad so well, we both went for the same thing. So now he has both, they are made well and super soft, and I’m very happy with my Local Vyntage order yet again. I also got myself a Genovese shirt because, why not? If Local Vyntage is seeking customer loyalty, they certainly earned it with me. 🙂
