Hair Glossy but too Dark

This product left my hair feeling soft and the shine was an improvement over the previous coloring I used. However, I am a lifelong red head who has been enhancing her hair for several years to cope with white/gray hair. My hair came out kind of a wine red that did not reflect the name given to the shades I used. Too dark for me. Though perhaps not for someone else.
