SmartWings Motorized Roller Shades 100% Blackout Essential

I did a lot of research prior to ordering smart blinds for my home office and Smartwings ended up being the best option overall for what I needed. The custom blinds shipped faster than expected and installation was quick and frustration free. I actually managed to install the blinds during my lunch break. Sizing was spot-on and when the blinds are fully open you cant even tell theres blinds there at all since there was virtually no gap between the wall and valance. The main reason I chose Smartwings however was due to price and the ability to connect to HomeKit. Connecting the blinds to my Home app was as easy as scanning the QR code on the blinds (make sure you take a pic of the QR code before installing). I also ordered the light blockers and I’m really glad I did. They were easy to install with the included magnet strip and they do a great job of blocking out most of the light coming from the sides. I didn’t order the solar panels unfortunately but plan to add that separately later. As a heads-up, if you have windows that can open/close and you do plan to buy the solar array, make sure you customize the motor position of your blinds to be on the side opposite of any windows that can open (ie place the motor on the side closest to a fixed window). The reason for this is because the solar array needs to stick to your window while plugged in and this could prevent you from being able to open the window if needed. Overall I definitely would recommend Smartwings and already have plans to order another unit.
