My prior Rothy’s squeeze my toe box too much so I came into these with low expectations and a readiness to box them back up to return. But, I was surprised that the toe box fit was good! The sides of the shoe flare out a little when I flex my foot, but I’d rather it do that than be too tight. I’d readily buy another pair once another shoe in my closet wears out.

Great shoe, details on sizing and width

So, for starters I want to say the daily driver is really a comfortable and stylish shoe. I have not owned a pair of Rothy’s before, nor have I tried them on. I was hesitant about the sizing and did a lot of online research. This is the facts I have discovered on sizing compared to other brands and I hope this helps. I have never bought narrow width shoes, but if I had to say from medium width being the middle, my width would be very slightly sided toward narrow from medium width. I wear a solid 11 in any flip flop, in all Tieks, and all Tory Burch. My usual size for most other shoes is 9. 5 or 10. My research indicated I should indeed buy an 11 in Rothy. I did. I received them and they were fully 1 size too large. I exchanged them (free and very easy and they will go ahead and ship your exchange, you just need to send back the other ones), for a size 10, although I was concerned they’d still be too big. I received the size 10, and they fit very nicely. I maybe could’ve gone with a 9. 5, but the 10 is comfy and will allow for any swelling and no show socks. The width is a tad big. I read a recent review on the width cut, etc. I can understand the issue there, but it probably wouldn’t keep me from buying another pair. There’s definitely some space in there on the width if your foot runs a little toward the narrow side. I do plan to wear this pair for awhile before I get another pair to see how the width works for me. I am going to rate them as true to size because it is in my usual size range, but wide because I haven’t had a medium width shoe fit me as wide as this. Overall, very happy with them! Hope my input on sizing helps!
