Rekeying a kwikset smart key with no original key

I was able to assist a customer in making her a key and resetting her Kwikset smart key deadbolt to this new key without the original key— an awesome save to prevent having to replace the deadbolt.

Have used the cube only to reset a Smart Key cylinder. It is marked for both decoding and reset. Studied the instructions but be careful removing tools as the Reset Tool and Comb block the Decoding Pin from coming out. Reset Tool very lightly made. Took two tries on the first to reset lock. Will post a 2nd review when I use it to decode a Smart Key lock. Aluminum would have been better choice that plastic for actual block.
