Just phenomenal

This is a superlative version. Reiner of course was a great interpreter of Brahms, and the CSO under him one of the greatest of orchestras. All the sections are on top form. The sound is excellent throughout, especially considering the age of the recording. This is great listening.

A reference version.

Great playing. All sections of the orchestra shine. The strings are magnificent and play as one. Clean, realistic sound. You can't go wrong with this one.
