These crankshaft stands are a machine printed part and work well for measuring the run-out at the center crankshaft bearing journal. They are not likely strong enough to apply any load to the crankshaft in case the run out is greater than the OEM specifications. They work nicely and at a good price. I suggest you use a long level when you set them up to check the run-out.
