I needed a slightly widere view with less magnification for asterisms, distant galaxies, gas clouds, and a nicer view of the sky without so much magnification. This is for a NexStar 127 mm SLT Maksutov. I'm happy to report that the eyepiece is all you'd expect from the vaunted Televue, arguably the best eyepieces across their variety of species that can be obtained anywhere for less than $1000. Crystal clear, no discernible defects, looks and feels great, and the view is excellent. I have two other Televues, and this one ranks right up there with the best of Plossle eyepieces available.
