Perfect for outdoor work/hikes/walks
Pairs well with my hoodorak and a nice midlayer, even down to single digits (F) with wind in the Northeast, and now my wife is looking for one to pair with her jacket!
Airs out and dries well, and of course no itch or scratch. Can't beat it.

An essential accessory that everybody should own
Quite simply the best snood you can buy. I bought the classic brown colour which compliments the lynx pattern very well. The amount of material you get is generous and when worn, creates several folds covering the lower area of the neck (and lays flat on the traps/collar bone area) right up to as far as you want it to go. You could cover your entire head if needed.
The folds create an effective wind buffer and the wool does it's work by trapping heat from the body while simultaneously allowing gentle breathability.
