I’m coming from Profoto D2’s as my main work horses. I’ve only had them for a short while but the build is absolutely on par with the D2’s! They also have more bells and whistles like stroboscopic mode. So far so good!

First strobe, great experience.

I’ve been afraid to venture into the world of strobe lights for my studio and have been using continuous lighting for a long time. Part of the reason I’ve avoided strobes is because I had no idea what would work for me and if I could figure it out. Enter the Strobepro YouTube channel. I love how thorough the videos are and that they cover all of the different strobe offerings. I finally got brave enough to give it a try. I stopped by the shop in Calgary and the fella that was there was just as helpful as the videos. I told him what I was looking for and what kind of shooting I do and he confirmed the ones I had narrowed my list to would work and helped me pick the best one overall. I couldn’t be happier with the service or the strobe. I can already see the improvement in my photos and the learning curve was not nearly as steep as I feared. Now I think I need a second one! I’m hoping I make Santa’s nice list this year and he’ll bring one for me.
