This was a great addition to the truck. It fit perfectly on my '05 Silverado 2500HD and the gasket is leak-free. Very happy with this excellent product from PPE!

Nice cover!

The cover itself is fantastic! Easy 5/5 stars. The installation, however, was more of an interactive fabrication project than a bolt-on upgrade. After fighting with it for a while, support informed me that the instructions weren’t exactly correct and that I would need to custom-cut all three mounting brackets. As a bonus, one of them had to be modified while installed on the truck. Unless I wanted to drain my braking system. Nothing builds confidence quite like using a grinder inches away from a brand-new powder-coated cover. The cover now has a nice collection of scratches from the sharp edges and test fitting the brackets, that really personalize it. Custom piece now. Great product. Unexpected metalworking apprenticeship included at no extra charge.

What animals Upgrade

It's amazing to me there is no way to easily service a differential. This cover not only has the standard fill port, it has another on top that fit the standard gear oil small spout perfectly and has a good drain plug so it can be regularly serviced. It takes exactly 5 quarts too. A small amount of fabrication is required to reuse a parking brake cable bracket but that takes (at the most) 2 minutes with a cut off wheel. I would buy this again and again.
