Alma Tempo

I like these shoes but they took some getting used to! They are stiff ride with good ground feel. Light and responsive. Love the flexible heel cup! I have a very high arch and chronic Achilles tendon issues. I had to return my first pair and go up a full size from my usual running shoe size to get enough volume for my arch! The return/exchange process was super easy! I appreciate that very much. The 10mm drop and flexible heel make my Achilles happy. If, like me, you have a Haglund’s deformity, use a heel lock lacing technique. I didn’t the first time I ran in these and got the worst blisters of my life! Heel lock lacing has solved that!

It’s been a month and I absolutely love how they feel. I was getting some knee pain with my other shoes and I’m happy to say with some stretching and a new shoe the knee pain is improving.

Love them so far. I feel zippy- really enjoying them on tempo runs and speed workouts. Notes on the fit to help anyone else considering these- I have very flat feet that are a bit wider across my bunion/toe box. I typically wear pronation control in other brands. With Hettas I have had no pain at all in my arches, even without the "motion control" type guardrails in other shoes. I havent run in these for much longer than an hour yet, but I am still pretty impressed. They looked too narrow to me out of the box, but on my feet they work. I was nervous that the translucent material of the upper wouldn't be supportive enough for my pronation, but I actually think it provides better structure in motion than the knit uppers of most shoes. For reference I wear a 9 in street shoes, a 10 in Brooks Adrenalines, and a 10 in Hettas.
