Anchor Original Pants

Splendid all round trousers

The Anchor pants are really comfy and flexible and don’t rustle. They are quite warm and perform well on the crag in cooler weather. They look casual and quite smart, they aren’t obviously activity trousers to look at. This is my second pair and I am likely to get more as I wear them for day to day wear as well as walking and climbing. Really comfy.

great for hitting the gym after work

Perfect pants to climb in, no movement restrictions and they look nice enough to pass for casual office pants. Excellent for hitting the gym after work, I cannot recommend enough. 6'0'', 75 kg, medium.

Good pants, but different each time I buy

These pants are very nice: flexible/stretchy, durable, comfortable, and they fit well (I’m 6’ 185 lbs and bought a large). They have been my go-to pants for a few years now and I wear them for everything from climbing, to general exercise, to lounging around, to working, etc. However, it seems that the thickness (including for different areas of the pants) and cut/fit are different each time Rungne gets a new batch in, which is a bit frustrating as a repeat customer. The pair I got in 2021 was different from the ones I got in 2023, which were, in turn, different from the pair I just received in June 2025. To be clear, I still love these pants, but can Rungne please at least inform customers of how the thickness and cut/fit will be updated with new models? Updates to new models are fine, but I would hope I could at least be informed of the updates before buying. A size guide (which I’ve been unable to find on the website as of late) would be helpful as well.
