Simpson PPBF66 PPBF Adjustable Porch Post Base for 6x6

I had to use two of these supports on 6x6 deck posts that were being supported by a solid concrete footing that we did not want to disturb but was too low in the ground to pour a concrete patio around. Although this Simpson support was pricey, we got a good deal on it, plus free shipping. We supported the covered deck post temporarily with a bottle jack and and 4x4 post support. The support was easy to install and more importantly, adjustable. What we paid in price, was offset by installation convenience. It’s engineered to take on a decent amount of weight. Which I needed. As I said, it was a fairly straight forward install.
