Beautiful statement piece. Very soft textile on an unstructured coat. Slick sleeve lining & lightweight cotton body lining. Comfort-wise, it wears as well as a familiar cardigan.
Cozy without being bulky. Appropriate for 3-season wear, & even chilly evenings in summer. Fit is loose, but not baggy. A flattering cut that is neither form-fitting nor frumpy. The style can be dressed down with jeans or dressed up with slacks. Appropriate for a backyard beer, dinner at the in-laws, or a night on the town.
Size Large is an ideal fit for US suit coat size 44R, & would fit perfectly for a wearer of 5'8-5'10", 180-200lbs.
Definitely hearkens back to an Old Hollywood style of the late '30s to early '40s. The herringbone pattern is bolder than it might appear in the official pictures. The black and white contrast strongly & the weave pattern is fairly large. Looks great accessorized with a scarf & a cap; a fedora even, if you're really channeling Humphrey Bogart. Expect compliments.
