The Audrey Rose Letters: World War II Romance - Monthly

I ordered this story for my 91 year old mother who lives up by the Canadian border in NE Montana. I live 40 some miles east of Bismarck, ND. For the first 2 stories I mailed them to her. Letter #3 I personally delivered to my mom. I am at a loss as I did not open any of these letters. I thought she would understand my instructions via phone. She did not which, frankly shocked me. Ok. She still didn't when I explained to her in person. To fill in the details we traveled to MT to visit after being in Medora, ND. (I turned a milestone birthday last month Right before we left, at the end of August, she informed her 3 remaining children her plans for the winter. (1 sibling lives in the same town) that she will be living at Pioneer Manor "for the winter." What!! Mom FINALLY made up her mind and none of us pushed!!!! Great! Wonderful!! Mom added "I'm not selling the house." Ok mom. We silently think "We'll see!" on both accounts. So, we decided to surprise her while she was eating supper at the manor. Note she claimed we would do so. 🤔 So back to the letters. When asked, mom admitted she didn't understand everything. I did show her. I quit when I realized she was tired. Do you have any suggestions?? I just thought this idea would work; both my parents love roses!! (Dad has been gone for 15 years.) This story is based on a WW2 romance story as I understand it. From what I read these letters/these stories reminds me of my favorite British sitcom "As Time Goes By." It starred my favorite actress Judi Dench & my favorite actor Geoffrey Palmer. Dench is mom's age while Palmer came to MT to fly fish. However I never met him (darn!) but he is now deceased. That sitcom had some similarities; for example a letter was lost and where it was found oh 40-50 years later .. Sigh. Could this work? Since both stories come addressed to me I could send them to my sister. (??) That is, IF she shows any interest. If so, what about the first 3??? Hard telling where mom has put them. I can ask but will she remember?? My mom still is independent! She still drives for instance. What I do know is that I know nothing what is inside! Even though they are addressed to me LOL Enough rambling. Hope to hear from you regarding any suggestions. Thank you for listening.
