Great sponge with an annoying flaw

I like that the sponge has 2 colors which are actually 2 different densities. The red is softer which I use for the paint and the black is a little stiffer for the trim and lower edges. I have used most of the popular sponges and this one has smaller square cutouts for the fingers resulting in a lot more of them which seems to do a good job. One annoying flaw with the sponge however that holds it back from five stars is the seam between the 2 sponge materials. There is a rather hard and scratchy glue line that runs around the side perimeter of the sponge. You have to pay extra attention that this does not touch the paint surface to avoid scratches. It’s not a deal breaker but something to remain aware of, especially when squeezing into tighter spots or against sharp angles where the sides can make contact easily.
