Paid for themselves on day one
Took up windsurfing recently and thought a Carver surfskate would be a good way to improve my balance. I am 43, 6'1" and 240 lb, so I fall hard and don't bounce back like I used to, but in my head I am still a kid. Anyway, I was good and waited till all these pads arrived and tried them out in the park next door about 30 minutes ago. Predictably, I crashed a couple of times and the KP44 kneepads, EP 55 elbow pads and Hired Hands gloves now all have scrapes on them. It would have really hurt without them, especially my elbow, so even though they cost a good bit, I consider them to already have paid for themselves. Yes, I look like a dork (we didn't do pads where I grew up in the 80s and 90s), but I will get to ride my skateboard again tomorrow so I don't care.

High Quality. Less Bulk, Worth The Price
My 10 yo son has been skating the 187 Killer Pro knee pads for the past year. They are great for vert and transition skating... but definitely too bulky for street. The Triple Eight KP 44 knee pads are the perfect street knee pad! They are the Pad to get for any street skater looking for added protection while working on progressing without the bulk. I used the size chart and measured. The size chart was super accurate. The pads fit perfectly upon arrival. Easy on easy off. Pads stay in place when skating. Great piece of equipment to add confidence and protection.
