Stains appear after wash

I bought 2 shirts one for my husband and one for my son . My son wore his new shirt 2 times and after the second wash his shirt appeared to have a grey tone to it as well as blue splotches all over . The blue splotches were not there before I washed it and even stranger is that they show up along the inside of the collar where the back of his neck would be . I had also washed it separately with only white shirts , So I do t believe it was anything he did to it or my washer . I tried to get the stains out with oxi and bleach and they remain stuck on. Truly annoying because the reason I bought the shirt for him was because it is supposed to be stain resistant. I don't know if there was something wrong with his shirt or if I should expect my husband's shirt to start to do the same thing .

Wish i wouldve found &collar sooner. Literally have to try to get it stained. Got red wine spilled on me at a wedding and thought the shirt was done for, but they should basically say the shirt is stain PROOF. This is my second shirt and i bought two more for my dad and brother
