Game Changer Purchase
I'm 75 years old and in good shape however with 5 acres along with horses, goats, and chickens to manage, it was getting a little more difficult. I was considering buying a UTV to help out around my mini farm. I'm glad I didn't. The StepRanger gets where a UTV can't like going through arena gates and goat turnouts. It's easy to load, very maneuverable, and can carry more weight in most cases. When I'm working on a project, it acts like a portable work bench keeping me from having to work on the ground. I keep finding more ways to use the StepRanger and it has been a real game changer for me. It's also fun, my kids and grandkids are having a great time riding around the property. The delivery was quicker than expected and the delivery people were very nice. Also, customer service has been great with quick response to a couple of questions I had. Made in the U.S.A. is just icing on the cake. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I live and work on a mountain made of gargantuan boulders, decomposing granite and wildfires.
This thing is very fit for purpose. It seems to be over-built for anywhere without uncompromising rocks and boulders. Brakes, power and suspension have been sublime. The front wheels have a coil suspension that works nicely. Standing on the rear step and holding the handlebars allows my natural equilibrium to perform. Getting to take a ride for a thousand feet, whilst it’s 95°, to get that tool I need has been awesome.
My 15 acres is seriously uneven. Vehicles would be impractical. A rollover of a UTV would be likely and uncomfortable (painful). This thing is something which I could jump from, to safety. A gas engine would be noisy and potentially incendiary, with undesirable maintenance.
I have an electrical wheelbarrow that works great for moving and dumping weight. I do need to walk and lift to balance it on its axle. The StepRanger allows me to have landscaping equipment with me and load it with brush, dirt, gravel and rocks. It climbs serious grades and has capable brakes.
I like that it seems like the designer/engineers knew what they wanted and it aligns with what I want.
I appreciate that the batteries are straightforward and can be replaced with non-bespoke units when end of life occurs.
I replaced the existing side panel cotter pins, that are strong, with cotter clips that are less strong but easy to remove. I clamped an umbrella for shade of my noggin. I utilized the wood shipping crate to make gravel sides for the side panels (it’d be cool if there were marks to cut down the crate for panel sides). The “headlight” is not super useful, as the light hits the ground about eight feet in front and aims from the turning handlebar that’s at the back of the rig. A headlamp solves this issue. I’ll probably mount some lights on the front.
I’ve named it “The Mule”. Customer service responses were lightning fast. I feel anything I break on this thing, because of me, I could cobble a fix.
