Elderberry 100% Linen Pillowcases (Pair)

I used a pillowcase for about a week and a small hole appeared on one, then piling and loose threads are visible on both. Washed before use on cold in a machine with no agitator, only with the other pillowcase and fitted sheet that I ordered together, followed letting them air dry. I don't sleep with jewelry or anything in my hair so I'm assuming the damage is due to frustration. I'm very disappointed because I saved up for these items and now I'm worried that they won't last. I loved that I could order separates and the color is great. Maybe I got a defective set.
