Pro Hunter Shorts for Men

Very comfortable, but brief on durability

I have owned different pairs of these PH Shorts in the last eleven or twelve years. They are very comfortable, light weight and airy in hot weather. The fabric used is very good for its intended purpose--comfort. Although, the bellow of the front portion of these front pockets tends to be easily torn when a branch is caught on the two seams of the bellow; especially where they are sewn to the bottom seam of the pockets. This creates a small cavity where a branch can be pinned and forces the tearing of the fabric while you walk or stalk through the brush. Instead of the designed bellowed front surface of the pocket, I would recommend that the design be re-thought and the bellow eliminated or a ripstop fabric panel be used on the front. This is where all of my shorts fail first (provided I do not sit much on exposed rock) and sufficient repairs in the field are temporary fixes, for a few days at best. Use in thorny brush (catclaw/wait-a-bit bush) is another concern. The fabric is easily frayed after the initial damage because the fabric is indeed very light weight and is not ripstop. If you will be travelling far from home; I would recommend packing a couple extra pairs to have in case one pair gets torn & becomes unserviceable. As for their comfort, like the TAG shirts, they are hard to beat! If one is good on their limited durability in scrubby bush and abrasions while sitting on rocks; these are very good investments to wear where heat is a concern.

Great shorts/ great service

These shorts are great. I have used them hunting in Africa. I like the short length and the pockets. The PHs wear shorts because they make less noise in the bush. Also the service was great. One pair of the two that I ordered was omitted from my order and they sent the second pair as soon as I informed them of the omission. I will use them again.
