Sizing between washes inconsistent

I have these jeans in the darker wash in size 25 and they are amazing. I wear them on repeat. So excited to receive them in the lighter wash for spring! However, the size 25 jeans I ordered were 2 inches smaller in the waist than the pair I own. I’ve exchanged for size 26 in the hopes they will fit better. Quality control may be an issue with sizing so maybe order two sizes to see which is better for you!
