My students usually complete word cards for heart words, but I was looking for something additional for one of my students who needed extra practice. I'm so happy I found these foldables! My student feels successful completing each page and is especially thrilled to be reading when reading the sentence page. I appreciate the opportunities for reinforcing the reading, writing, and spelling of each heart word in an engaging format. The books also allow for parents to support review of the words. I use these with my students who are struggling with their sight words. When they read the sentences on their own, I can see the joy on their faces. This is a great independent activity they like sharing with their parents.
