Standard Lightweight Rooftop Tent

Tent works well, as advertised. I've used it twice since I got it. I'm 6'2" and can sleep on my back diagonally with a regular pillow, any taller or with a partner wouldn't work with the regular size. I got the regular because I think the larger one would hang over the front windshield of my 2019 Crosstrek too much for my taste. Sheets and a moderate comforter fold into it just fine, but pillow(s) have to go in the car because it's low profile. I put it on Vevor 200lb roof rack cross bars, the clamps that come with the tent work fine with that setup (the clamps line up on the end pieces of the cross bars, not the middle section), and I've had the car on wide open and windy Utah freeways over 80mph for a few weeks now. Everything is solid, just check all the bolts after the first drive and then every week or so after. I only lose a couple mpg with it on the car.

I was a heavy ikamper user since I purchased it as an original Kickstarter until I purchased the Inspired Overland tent a few weeks ago. I just put it to the test in Death Valley for 4 days and…I really like it. The material is quality. It is structurally sound, easy to deploy and close, and mattress is very comfortable. My only disappointment is the ladder. The ladder has flat rungs vs. the angle rungs that create flat surface when ladder is deployed. Unless you have shoes on, it is extremely uncomfortable to go up or down the ladder. If this one thing was changed and angled rings used like many other manufacturers, I would give it 5 stars at this early point in ownership. One important thing to note. I got the smaller version. I am 5’8.5” and my toes would touch the roof at the hinged side. If you are any taller…I would get longer version IMO. Great tent!

This rent blew my expectations out the water. The build quality is exceptional. The thought and design put into the tent makes it easy to use and comfortable
