The tail is no longer wagging the dog.
Since I have owned this 2021 Toyota Tacoma double cab off-road it has always surprised me. Unfortunately it was in a bad way. The rear suspension was terrible. I could never put the power down. It would always wheel hop and skip in corners off roading and on road occasionally. Now it is finally surprising me in a good way. It is now out performing the front of my truck. I have fox elite coil overs on the front with about 2.5 inches of lift and aftermarket upper control arms. I am not going to go long travel on the front but that would be the only way to keep up with the back now. I am so thankful I did not waste my time getting different rear shocks that would fit the factory location. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking to get the most out of their Tacoma to go this route. If you’re serious about performance you are going to be disappointed if you don’t relocate the shocks, this is the way. I did purchase the whole ultimate off road package from Archive. I spent a long time looking at different leaf packs and hangers flip kits etc. but I knew I would be disappointed if I didn’t relocate the shocks so I ultimately ended up with this package and it is great. It was an amazing amount of parts they just kept coming and coming in the mail, I think it’s a bargain. I went with their lightest leaf pack. It measures 38”the fender of the front and 39” in the rear .
