What is with kuiu sizing?

I'm not sure if they don't know how to measure or what, but based on the size guide I should not have an extra foot+ worth of fabric for this jacket. , i can pull it away from my body at least 8-10" even with a shirt and fleece hoodie underneath. When I zip my outer shell over it, I have to tick all the extra fabric inside so I can do it up without snagging it in the zipper. I'm keeping it because it's hard to find down midlayers, but I'm really not pleased with the fit. The material seems soft and it's lightweight, though I was expecting it to be more dense especially considering the price being over $500 cad.

Staple Wardrobe Piece

This is my second coat of this model. The zipper finally gave out after over 5 years of heavy use in my prior one. Love the new colour, how light and packable yet warm this coat is. It is my main jacket for anything outdoor related.

Warm and lightweight. Looks great around town. Get compliments all the time on the looks. Is a necessary piece during the Wyoming winter!
