Plissé

The design looked beautiful, but the functionality was not good. Every time i used it, it made a mess. The screw on blade unit did not seal very good and leaked all over the motor/base unit when in use. Sometimes, the gasket came off and it was hard to detect until it leaked even more into the base. Cleaning the base after it leaked was hard becase the base couldnt be submerged and there were lots of nooks and crannies to wipe around. Also, it did not blend the contents very well. I had to take it off the base, unscrew the blade, and use a spoon to mix it up, then put everything back together and reblend. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of Alessi items I’ve purchased, but was extemely disappointed with this item.
