Perfect for layering in -40 F degree weather as a second layer. On the day that was -2 F, this and a vest were my only layers. I was comfortable and never hot nor cold during our trip. True to size, but I sized up since this was supposed to be my 2nd base layer in Alaska in December. This shirt never smelled badly, spot cleaned so well that there are no stains or food odors. If I ever move to a cold climate, I would order one in every color. Washed in cold, hang dried and it it as good as new.
