I bought “the Stroll” on line. My head was between medium and large and I so I made a follow up visit to the shop in JP for final adjustments. He took a lot of time with me explaining the Ecuadorian weaving process. They actually design the stroll panama hats. They buy blanks from Ecuadorian weavers who take a month or year to produce the blanks. He adjusted it to fit my head perfectly using his hot former fixture. His love and knowledge of hats is impressive. I leaned a lot on the visit. While there I bought 3 other hats and my girlfriend bought 3 and sun-glasses:-) I looked at his Irish tweed wool caps. Two and enjoyed hearing about his trip to Ireland to find his small-time back-country cloth suppliers. They are an amazing artisan couple. The shop in JP is a must visit to fully appreciate the artisan nature of the husband wife team.
