The advantage of this sharpener is consistent grind angle. On paper sounds amazing. In practice has its limitations. Larger kitchen knives I’d rate it 8 of 10. For pocket knives it’s not near as useful. Some knives simply cannot be sharpened with this tool, and some are challenging but still manageable 6” curved ***** is unique but does the job. Biggest complaint is when getting the bur to let go of the apex it’s a lot more time consuming doing light single strokes to present the clear apex. Some knives I get the bur to center and call it, because breaking the bur takes too much time flipping back and forth on a single stoke.
