I started wearing Birdwell board shorts as a lifeguard in Laguna Beach, in the early 90’s. The quality, durability, and classic style are unmatched. They are simply the best board shorts available.

Not what expected

Seems well made however the functionality is less than desired. Very difficult to work the buttons into the sewn slots, just a matter of time before the buttons will pop off. The opening at thigh level is very small, I’d say tight. Ordered size 33 as I normally wear 32 and have to completely remove the waist tie to get the shorts on.
