Meteorite fades to Purple

I'm an electrician in Utah and I wear these pants every day on the job site. Build quality is great, fit is great, no issues there. My problem is with the Meteorite color. After a few months of working outside, the black faded to purple. Not a subtle change either, they look completely different now. The inside of the pants is still black and so is the waistline where my shirt covers them, so it's 100% a sun/UV issue with the dye. I contacted 1620 about it since they advertise a lifetime warranty and these are $200 pants made for guys who work outside. They wouldn't cover it. Pretty disappointing for a company that charges premium prices and markets to tradesmen. The pants are well built and I do like them, but if you work outdoors don't buy the Meteorite color. Get Khaki or something lighter where the fading won't be so obvious. Wish someone had told me that before I got these.

Hands down the best pants I have ever owned.
