Perfect symbolism for Father’s Day

I love the lighthouse idea and the small sailboat looking for guidance. No awkward, hokey phrases that don’t apply to many times. Just a quaint scene. I love it.

Such a relief to find this card

Having both a father and a stepfather I look out for father’s day cards every year and it is so hard to find good ones. Neither of them likes sports, barbecues, DIY or any of those traditional themes. Neither of them thinks they are a particularly good father and one of them became very insulted when one year I gave him a card printed with “ what a wonderful dad” or some such message. He threw it back at me saying he wasn’t a good father. Yeah, I know. I give them both a card every year anyway. I love that this one has a non stereotypical picture and a neutral message : Happy Father’s Day. Nice and simple. Perfect for a complicated relationship. I wish more companies made cards like this.
