Super disappointed - Substitution made without prior notice

I received my kit & it had white yarn with metallic gold, not the silver as advertised. Something felt off when I opened the package. Then I saw a small slip of paper with a note about the substitution. In my opinion the gold does not match with the grey yarn. The substitution was made without prior notice so now I am stuck with it or I can return it but I paid $15 shipping (I was told I would not be charged for return label but I am still out $15). I would have preferred a brighter color red too.

I absolutely love this kit!! I have not begun to work on it but it is so beautiful I can't wait to see the finished product!!
